CONNECTION Dental Network Overview

We continue to work hard to ensure our Participating Dentists are benefiting as much as possible from participating in our network. In 2010 we created teams within our departments to improve communication and workflow. In addition, we:

• added 1,316 new dentists during the first quarter of 2010 and 1,348 during the second quarter;



• recruited 38% of dentists to join our network who were nominated by members;



• streamlined our recruitment process through the use of a new database;



• enhanced our auditing process for data entry to improve the integrity of our network information;



• sent recruitment packets to dentists in 43 states that targeted more than 68,000 providers;



• worked with currently contracted dental groups to ensure their credentialing processes meet our new requirements for credentialing accreditation purposes;



• analyzed provider network data to prepare it for a system conversion in 2011; and



• acquired two new Rewards Program partners:



• Dr. Fresh offers high-quality, innovative oral and personal care products at very reasonable prices for children and adults.



• Dr. Bicuspid is an online provider of news and information related to the dental community. Dr. Bicuspid gives exclusive offers to our Participating Dentists, including free online CE courses for OSHA Dental Compliance Training and a 20% discount off every online CE course in their library.
