CONNECTION Dental Network Overview

Our network is working hard to recruit new dentists, improve its quality and efficiency, and ensure members are directed to our Participating Dentists. Here's what we've been doing in 2009:

• Approved 1,523 new dentists nationwide during the first quarter and 1,803 new dentists during the second quarter.



• Contracted with six new dental groups, including Heartland Dental, Forward Dental and Immediadent.



• Recruited 36% of the dentists to whom we sent nomination packets.



• Implemented a new process to inform members of their dentists' nomination status.



• Set up a new process to contact and update information for Participating Dentists when our credentialing processes are about to be exhausted.



• Met with our Peer Review Committee to obtain feedback on ways to enhance the network for our loyal dentists.



• Began the process of verifying dentists' education through licensing entities to eliminate the requirement that dentists' provide us with copies of their education certificates.



• Expanded our email communications.



• Met with clients utilizing our network to discuss ways to enhance communication and processes.
